Recent developments

A lot of things have been going on at Travel Approved lately, in the positive way. You have probably seen that quite a few parts of the site are being reconstructed or under construction, new photo banners are added and will be added, and we've seen a metamorphosis in our team during the past 2 months.

As said, we're reconstructing a lot these days; some new areas will be introduced, for which less popular parts will have to make space. A good example of this is the contributor area, which will soon be fully online in the About section. Here you will find information about all the people who actually make Travel Approved the way it is, and you will often get the opportunity to contact them for a "thank you" or question.

Next to that, we've asked some experienced and professional photographers to compose a few photo banners to make the upper part of our website even more attractive. You will already find a few of those online at this moment, but more are to be expected over the coming months.

The team behind Travel Approved has grown substantially, largely due to new contributors. As Travel Approved grows, so does the need for first-hand experiences, so we're very happy to welcome our new contributors! You will soon find the contributions on the earlier mentioned About page.

All this, along with an advertising campaign and more upcoming changes, will hopefully allow even more travellers to be informed the way they should be. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to drop us a line. In the mean time, enjoy our new features!

Under construction: USA country information

Because of the growing demand for more information about the USA, and the fact that some countries are too large to simply write general articles about, we have decided to completely change the information on the United States of America country page.

When you go to North America - USA , you will now get the following regions:
- New England
- Mid-Atlantic
- Southeast
- Midwest
- Mountain States
- West Coast

As you will see, information still needs to be added; our American contributors will soon provide us with the information necessary. In the mean time, if you think you have any information that should be covered on those pages, please contact us. Please excuse us for the temporary inconvenience.

Best,

Travel Approved Staff

Launch of new section

Since there was a groing need for an 'About' page, where we would be able to tell a bit about both Travel Approved and our contributors, we have decided to replace our 'FAQ' with an 'About' section.

As said, this page will feature some background information about Travel Approved, will soon feature a 'Press' page, but the 'Contributors' page is most important to us. On this page, you will find information about the people who write the articles on Travel Approved.

In order to know who wrote which article, a lot of the articles will soon be updated with a photo and name of a contributor, like you can see here. Next to that, a small number of contributors will also receive a Travel Approved email address, so that you can directly ask your questions to the right person. We welcome you to make use of this option; our contributors are just as enthusiastic about travelling as we are!

Last but not least, experienced travellers interested in contributing will find information here about recruitment opportunities and requirements.

Happy travelling!

Living abroad

Going on a holiday to another country is a great way to expand your mind and see new things, but if you really want to experience a different way of living, you should move abroad for a while. I understand that this is easier said than done, and not many can afford themselves to do such a thing just like that in this society.

It is something worth planning for though. I know people who have always dreamed of going to Australia someday to work there for a year, and I know that a lot of people who dream of such things will never realize it. If you've been walking around with such plans, or if you are dreaming of living a very different life for a while, then don't be afraid to transform those dreams into real plans.

Moving abroad involves a lot of paperwork, planning and money, but also knowledge. You need to know where you can get things done, and you have to make sure that you don't forget anything before moving to the other side of the earth. Check our Moving Abroad section for first-hand insights, and start planning today.
